This part made me really happy about Aramis. I'm so glad he gets a break with his visions, and recovered part of himself and his past. Seeing him with the kids at the orphanage was adorable. Surely the nuns are regretting his absence, only now noticing how much he did for them with the worst cases...
(And I am so relieved that your Aramis is so far from Dumas' Aramis because I just finished the last book and I am so mad and so disappointed in him for how he compromises Porthos and argh. Your fic allows me to roll myself into a blanket universe where Aramis would never do that to Porthos)
And Athos! Trying to tell himself he's getting used to the terrible twos, that he has some understanding of and control over the situation, only to be proven wrong time and again because, well. Aramis. And Porthos. He's in over his head.
I have to say, I hope we'll get a piece from Treville's point of view about Athos because it should be really interesting and kind of funny. But yeah, no, who am I kidding, I'll be happy with whatever you give us. I hope you're doing okay!
